Accommodation and Food

On-campus accommodations is offered to degree students and summer-programme students.  For non-degree students, accommodation is subject to availability at the time of arrival. 

Accommodation on Xuhui Campus (downtown Shanghai)

No 9 Dormitory (outside)

Single room: RMB 75 per day (about GBP 7) for degree students; RMB 130 per day (about GBP 12 per day) for short-term programme students. Utility bills are not included in the rate.

Each room is equipped with colour TV, telephone, air-conditioner, refrigerator, microwave oven, and internet connection.  Bathroom facilities ae shared.

En-suite single room: RMB 70 per day (about GBP 6) for degree students; RMB 120 per day (about GBP 11 per day) for short-term programme students. Utility bills are not included in the rate.

Accommodation on Minhang new campus (Minhang district of Shanghai)

No 8 & No 9 Building
En-suite double room: RMB 5400 per semester, per person (about GBP 500). Utility bills are not included in the rate.

Each room is equipped with bathroom, colour TV, telephone, air-conditioner, microwave oven and internet connection.  Shared kitchen, refrigerator and laundry facilities.

No 10 Building
En-suite single room: RMB 8600 per semester per person (about GBP 800). Utility bills are not included in the rate.

Each room is equipped with bathroom, colour TV, telephone, air-conditioner and internet connection.  Shared kitchen, refrigerator and laundry facilities.

No 12 Building
Single room: RMB 4800 per semester per person (about GBP 450). Utility bills are not included in the rate.
Double room: RMB 7000 per semester per person (about GBP 650). Utility bills are not included in the rate.

No 51 Building
Double room: RMB 4800 per semester per person (about GBP 450). Utility bills are not included in the rate.

Each room is equipped with refrigerator, telephone, air-conditioner, and internet connection.  Shared kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities.

Food (for budget reference only)
• self catering: about GBP 1.80 per day;
• student canteen: about GBP 2.50 per day;
• for summer and short-term programmes, half- and full- board is offered.
